Nadia el Fani: liberté, égalité laïcité
La Mostra de València 2024 se convierte en el escenario ideal para rendir homenaje a una de las voces más singulares del cine contemporáneo: Nadia el Fani. La sección Focus de este año estará dedicada a la cineasta franco-tunecina, invitando al público a sumergirse en una retrospectiva que abarca su extensa y prolífica carrera.
Nacida en París en 1960, Nadia el Fani ha construido una filmografía que se caracteriza por su mirada crítica y comprometida con la realidad social y política. Sus películas, que transitan entre la ficción y el documental, exploran temas como la identidad, la religión, la sexualidad y las relaciones de poder, siempre desde una perspectiva feminista y descolonizadora.
Una de las particularidades de la obra de El Fani es su capacidad para entrelazar lo personal y lo colectivo. En películas como “Ouled Lenine”, la directora realiza un íntimo retrato de su padre, un destacado dirigente comunista tunecino, a la vez que reflexiona sobre la historia de su país y las transformaciones sociales que ha experimentado.
